The top 5 caps for summer

A good cap is essential for everyone this summer. The headwear can make or break a look as well as preventing sunburn (especially if your Scottish). These days the bucket hat has made a comeback but any self-respecting man HAS to opt for a stylish cap for the festivals this summer. With this in mind here are my top 5 caps:

5. Armani exchange hat with embossed logo

This is a classic and simplistic design from Armani Exchange. The brand was created in the hope that it would become a more accessible branch of Armani with a turn towards a street style. (Share this with a roadman in need!) It is available in a number of colourways and due to its simple design it can be paired with anything.

4. Polo Ralph Lauren: Twill Baseball Cap

This is another classic design. It’s a hat we’ve all scene thousands of time but we cannot argue Ralph Lauren has a timeless style. It’s made of low density twill to maximise sporting performance and ensure you are not slowed down by air resistance while running for the bus. Maybe it’s a bit posh but I wouldn’t mind having this cap in my arsenal. It’s a good one to flex.

3. Stone Island Embroided Cap

Again I’ve gone for a classic design. This cap has a whopping price tag and has been everywhere (even worn in a game by some professional goalie). It’s a good one if you want to pretend your famous (ask for more details) and its simplicity means you can pair it with almost anything. It’s available in many colourways (if the black is a bit morbid) and perhaps its best feature is the branding as Stone Island always wows and will make you the talk of the pub.

2. Versace Jeans Couture Gold Logo Cap

When I saw this cap I was expecting its RRP to be around £200 so I was shocked to see it selling for only £50. This is one of those brands people associate with celebrities so if you turn up in this you will be treated as a VIP. This cap does beg the question every lad asks: Is it for women? So I am taking the collective decision (on behalf of men) to label this hat unisex. It’s another great option for summer.

  1. New Era MLB New York Yankees 9FORTY Cap

This is a fantastic cap and one which I fell in love with quickly. It looks almost like Burberry (who sell a similar hat for £250) but costs a tenth of the price. It stands out in the crowd and ensures your friends will never lose you (give this to the biggest lightweight). No British man has a clue about baseball but the Yankees logo looks good on the front of it and you can pull a Barney Stinson and pretend you play for the Yankees. On a personal note I love the colours and chequered design which make it look like a shooting cap.
